# Project Roles

Role is a set of permissions related to managing the project space and its proposals.

## Role permissions <a href="#role-permissions" id="role-permissions"></a>

#### Admin <a href="#admin" id="admin"></a>

Admin can edit project settings along with the list of admin and author users and manage all the project proposals: create, edit, delete and archive them.

#### Author <a href="#author" id="author"></a>

Author can create, edit and delete their own proposals regardless of their voting power.

#### Participant

Participant  is an authorized user, who is eligible to vote on a specific proposal according to their voting power.

#### Guest

Guest is an unauthorized user, who can browse projects and proposals, but is not eligible to cast a vote.

## Assign project roles

To update the admins and authors lists head to the project settings and the **Members** tab.

You can add addresses one by one and choose their applicable role.
